Right after I joined this forum yesterday I bundled up for a quick ride. Had a lot of pedaling to get it started, then it acted like it wouldn't warm up, no idle, had to really open the throttle to get it to clean up and it just wouldn't run right unless it was wide open. Rolled back in to tear the carb apart and found the problem, the main jet had fallen out! All things considered, it really ran pretty good. Tossed it back together and all is well..wee.

Pretty common actually, see if you can come up with a support for the rear of the carb or get a shorter intake manifold, it will reduce the vibe's.

I had that same thing last week...a new bike that just would not run right, had tried leaning it out...making it rich, checked for vacum leaks... no luck... then was going to check the float, there was the main jet , laying in the bottom of the float bowl... i realized right then how amazing these little engines really are... i just love em'
