Not sure, i have a 2009 HT engine and the manual says 40:1 after break-in. Tho i havent run that engine yet. I usually run 25:1 tho next tank i will be experimenting with 32:1

Wow,
40:1 sounds iffy to me. I never recommend going over 32:1 after break-in and 16:1 during. Just my opinion, but, I've also heard the new, 09, motors are a bit different than the earlier ones in some respects so maybe the 40:1 is what they require. Still sounds dangerous to me. A little too much oil is always better than not enough. We'll have to see what the jury says on this one.

At the very least use a good quality synthetic oil if you go with that mix. 30:1 would probably be safer! The motor depends on that oil for lubrication.

AH......NO! I'm just trying to run the engine as clean as possible.I'm not the type to run it wide open all the time.It would be nice if the motor would open up and I wouldn't smell like a weedeater machanic everytime I ride.usflg

first of all, in the ratio 40:1, the 40 part refers to the GAS, not the oil, so a 40:1 mix has more oil than a 50:1....I run about 60:1 (less oil) with 91 octane and synthetic oil...my buddy has a racer that he runs at 100:1, but this is for short track racing and not for distance. I ran a 50:1 mix for the first 300 miles and my spark plug was blackened, since I thinned out the mixture, it has more throttle response and less incomplete burning....a 30 or 40 to 1 mixture will have oil dripping out your exhaust.

25:1 Full Synthetic Is What I Run. All Depends. Run 40:1, See What Happens And Keep Us Posted, The Motors A Cheap You Could Just Get A New One. I Plan On Beating The Crap Out Of Mine In Due Time. Fire It Up And Beat It Down.

How Bad is oil that is not detergent oil, I have not been running detergent, Last 2 quarts have been Valvoline, 2 Cycle. Multi purpose, I was using a mixture of 30-1 and changed to 35-1, =4.5 oz. oil, it was hard to start now can't start at all, might have become worse as the previous tank empty out and was replaced by the 35:1, Sounds like these guys are running pretty dry gas, but Kings recommends 20:1 first gallon, Can't figure this, not starting, getting spark, should be getting fire, Not getting the slightest. Didn't know that these engines are so finicky or maybe that isn't the problem at all ?

Looked at the Cylinder through the Spark Plug hole and see speckled Top of the Cylinder, looks kind of light Tan and black Speckles ?? Anybody have a clue ?

Are we on the same page, . . Correct me if I wrong, 35-1is 4.57 oz to the gallon, right?

1 Gal=160 Fl. Oz. / 35 = 4.57, That's 35 to 1 Isn't it ?

Per King's
Break in ratio for 80cc is;

20 to 1,= 06.4 oz.
Synthetic 2 Stroke Oil per 128oz,;gallon gasoline.

After the break-in period, the ratio is increased to to 35 parts gasoline to 1 part oil.

30:1= 04.26 oz.
31:1= 04.12 oz.
32:1= 04.00 oz.
33:1= 04.12 oz.
34:1= 03.76 oz.
35:1= 03.65 oz.

Hey wait a minute, let me check, I swear to you I was at a conversion chart and have read 60 Fluid OZ per Gal. !!
