Need some advice please!

I'm looking at a bike on local CL
It's a boxer frame with a Morini engine on it... Full susp, disk brakes.

What kind of signs should I looking for that the motor is in good shape?
Anything else I should probaly pay close attention to?

Last little motorbike I looked at, I asked the seller to start it and show me how it ran.
...he started it quickly, warmed it up, and rode a few reasonable laps around his yard.
Then I asked him to ride by me a couple times on the street.
He did so. Again, at reasonable speed.

Even though it was beat, it gave me an idea how he had been operating it.

We had any number of young fellows bring dirtbikes into the car dealership trying to get hi-dollar trade-in value for them. They were covered with sand and had just been to the Pismo Dunes! lol Sand is a marvelous abrasive! External AND internal.

Well even though it didn't start or run cause the throttle cable was broke. But it did turn over.
Got home. Rigged up a quick throttle.
-pumped air
- tightened some random things
-mixed 40:1 gas

Tried to start it, didn't wanna run. Saw alot of fuel coming out the exhaust.
So i pulled the plug and exhaust off. Engine was so flooded that their was a nice puddle of fuel in the expansion cable.

After i cleared out the engine of fuel, it took a few kicks but it finally started...AND MANN IS IT A LOUD MOTHER F'r

Took around the block the first time, and this is my first time with a morini motor.... But when the clutch fully engaged and it hit the pipe, it accelerated so fast that it made scream in joy/ fear

guess how much i cashed out for it??dance1
