KC...is new to the hobby, and a bit lost on the mechanical aspect of things.

The idea that the grease in the clutch causes a lock-up is ridiculous...(Other thread) sorry KC...I've been a mechanic for a long time!

I'm sure KC has had luck with applying grease to his friction pads...otherwise he would not have made the suggestion.

Nobody should grease the friction pads of thier clutch!

sorry Jim, didn't mean to imply you were stupid. i was kinda implying that the guy who posted about putting dabs of grease on your clutch pucks was stupid. i mean, about that, anyway...
Well, maybe I am stupid, but I have zero clutch issues on 7 builds so far.
And it's not a 'dab', just a light finger smear on the pad tops after I clean out all old factory grease and clean them off.

Needed? Obviously not. But detrimental to operation? Not in my short experience with these clutches.
And before you ask, no, I don't grease my brake pads too hehehe ;-}
