This thing weighs a ton- and the length that goes into the tank only creates clearace problems.

Yeah, it works pretty well, with extra nylon under the gasket-
but its the weight mostly

I wish they'd come up with something more minimal, that maybe screws on

the one that came in my kit was heavy, but the good kind, nice and solid feeling. and it's not heavy enough to make a big deal. a few ounces isn't going to make a profound performance boost. i don't think it's a problem, although it does make an annoying screech sound when i take it off/put it on, so a threaded screw on type would be a welcome addition imo.

Toyota Power steering pump cap. Maybe a mod can find it but somebody here found one and used it. I can't find it?

Well that's the problem really, it's already an automobile gas cap- used to see this kinda thing on the ol hot rods of the 50's and 60's-

Im more from the cycling end of things, and weight is everything- I have to carry this thing up and down a flight of stairs - still haven't bought a plank yet, but 700 c wheels roll up the stairs better. The lighter these bikes are, the more practical as far as I'm concerned.

Good luck with D-day boys. the liberators should Arrive soon.
