i have been reading the forum and i am happy to be here because i have allot to learn and from the looks of it you guys really make it easy for a new kid like me to research and come on-board. super happy to be here and learn as i form my first bike.

I gotta warn you, though. The knowledge you pick up here won't make it really easy. (Though it's not all that hard, either.) But by reading these threads you can be warned against making some of the mistakes that we made. That can save you time and money. That's good.
Unfortunately most of us find mistakes of our own to make.
The good news is that fixing these is usually not too bad and it helps make your build YOUR Build. And that's cool, too.

If you haven't bought a kit yet, look up your local laws on motorized bicycles/mopeds. Many states consider them to be the same thing.
