HELP: gasket pieces fell on piston

i was putting a new head gasket on my 80cc bfg kit and a little piece of cork gasket fell on the piston, will it hurt my engine? it seemed to fire up just fine, do i have to worry?

Cabinfever is probably right. As long as it was just cork. (don't know where the cork came from. Head gaskets are usually aluminum) but my question is if you could see it, why didn't you just clean it out? An air hose, shop vac or even your wife's dust buster would have gotten the material off the top of the piston. Good luck. I hope all is well.

I too wonder how you saw it, but didn't remove it? I typically wouldn't worry, as long as it wasn't like a giant hunk of cork or something.
