Hello,
It's a year, since I began my second velocar project , so I want to show the results so far.
The Roadster is not ready yet, but I hope to complete it in early spring.
Recently I'm 50% through the construction of the front hood.
Specs:
Quadricycle
Capacity: 2 adults (sociable) + 2 small childs
Length: 300cm+/10ft
Width: 113cm/3ft 8inch
Height: Body 79cm/ 31inch, Soft top 115cm/3ft 9inch
Frame weight: 15kg
Chassis weight (with suspension/axle parts, complete wheels (2x NuVinci) and steering, transmission still missing): 37kg
Overall weight: 65-70kg (I hope so)
A hub motor instead of Nuvinci and Lifepo4 battery+controller may add 6-7kg
Frame and body parts are build from 4mm Okoume/Gaboon plywood with spruce girders.
The box frame, top panel still missing
Mockup family ride and future body lines
The chassis is standing on it's own wheels !!!
Somewhat transformed Ackermann (or better Lankensperger) geometry
Early stage of tail construction
