Dave, the Z-L rod is 110mm and is the type that doesnt use a caged needle bear on lower journal but rather just loose pin bearings, I had an engine with that set up fail on me one time because they didnt put enough roller pins in and one of them got in a bind and broke at high rpms, sent a piece up through the transfer and I bet you can guess what happened next....lol
as long as it has enough pins and the crank is true it should be a good running engine, that one experience kinda scared me of the Z-L rod engines but I know there are a lot of them out there running good for a long time.
