Maxima formula K2

Anyone running this oil and at what ratio? I bought a bottle to try because I've been using 927 but I get a lot of smoke. I was hoping it would be a bit less oil drops on my garage floor.

I run 40:1 in all my two stroke engines right from the first start.
I'm betting you are running it too rich if you have oil dripping out of the muffler...
the 16:1 in the "manual" is simply wrong.
Try 32:1 or 40:1 and see how you like it.

I run 927 at 32/1, I was wondering if anyone was using K2? Thanks though.

Maxima K2 is my two-stroke oil of choice, it also has a bit of the castor scent to it (not full castor like the 927 however). In most applications I run it at 40:1 and 50:1. In the Goped 46cc HP engines I run it at 25:1 because you just have to if you want your engine to last because of the super thin chrome plating on the cylinders and being a single ring piston turning 14-22,000rpm.

I have some Maxima 927 and like it, here is a direct quote of the 927 make up, its not 100% pure Castor oil but it is mostly High Grade Castor oil with some other components to make it an even better product.

The oil is rated to be run from 16:1 to 60:1

I think I'm going to try and mix the k2 and 927 at 40/1 and see how that works. I like the lubricity of the 927 but also want the added high rpm film strength of the k2. That way I'll have the best of both worlds.
