Default Re: reason behind turning the fuel petcock off?

I tighten my choke plate nuts up and then with a center punch I ping threads good at the point where the threads meet, never had one come loose on me yet..... knock on wood and I cant see any way that they ever could.

Yeppers....... I filled an engine up with fuel one time from leaving petcock open, learned my dang lesson to, I've got in a habit of turning the valve off before I ever even kill the engine, sometimes I let the engine idle until it runs out of gas, don't take long and I know there isn't gonna be any fuel problems unless valve fails or tank springs a leak.

I dont always ride WOT, but when I do..I do my best to keep the rubber side down..Ride safely my friends!
