Why does the Con Rod fail in 4 strokes and not 2 strokes?

Every one always says Titans are great but if I over rev it the con rod will fail. I have never been told high Roma will cause a 2 stroke con rod to fail. I have pushed some racing two strokes near 16k rpm

over rev any motor and they upchuck parts...

your race bikes did not have motors that can be replaced for under a $100 if you blew it up either!!!

you get what you pay for

The upper conrod bearing is usually the first thing to go on the chinese 2-strokes. They aren't immune to damage from overspeed.

On my Honda 50cc GHX, the govenor was set @ 7800, has been removed so top rpm is in the 8200 range on the level with my 210 lbs, and 6'3" frame catching air.
From what I read, most agree that the Chinese 2-strokes turn in the 6K range, with a few people getting away with more.
I haven't busted a rod yet, but I've seen 8600 while laying down to reduce drag and on a road that is about 1.5% downgrade.
