Since 2008 my 30cc rear wheel hub engine in my Hercules Saxonette is licensed as a moped to 45 km/h. It is the only one in Germany and it was a hard (and expensive) procedure to get the license. Other bicycles of this type are limited from factory not to run faster than 20km/h (12,5 mph).
So I enjoy every minute going up to 48 km/h (30 mph) at 7100 rpm which is its actual top speed without wind and in in the plain. The other car drivers and moped riders can't believe it. And I have fun to see their astonished faces.
Is that the Fitchel & Sachs engine? How old is it? I have a 1934 98cc 2 speed Fitchel & Sachs on a build I don't have on the road yet. Seems like a nice engine.
Someday when I grow up I will probably lose interest in toys with wheels, but until then...
