Ibedayank, I have sold and installed many of those switches on custom Harleys over the years. They look chintzy and cheaply made, but they work wonderfully and are very durable.
There are no brake rods on the Point Beach in which to use one on though.
Thank you for the suggestion though!

I am going to do the brake light switch mod on the hand levers. I already bought the switches from Radio Shack. I was kinda bummed when I got there. They have much smaller switches that would have worked out much better, but they only come in a "normally open" configuration. That would be operating backwards for this application.
