My 2-stroke Tanaka is fitted with that pocket bike transmission, and runs thru the front chainring. It is an EXCELLENT combination. Many 2-strokes and some 4-strokes could be fitted the same way. However, the vendor supplying the center-framed mounts is no longer in business. USED to have their own center-frame mounts, but it's no longer on its website.

Besides, the Honda 50 must be retrofitted with a special adaptor and bellhousing, for it to run on any 78mm engine drive assemblies. This is available only from one vendor, and costs about $120. This cost is in addition to the engine drive assemblies.
