I have an idea.

Yes, you'll need to drain the tank and lay the bike on its right side, so that the oil doesn't run out while you're doing this.

You need a tiny little stud with a tiny little allen head in it, and some of that loctite, or JBWeld. Apply your goop, screw the stud in deep into the hole.

Once you've done this, you may need to shorten the respective magneto screw, so it doesn't bottom out before it gets tight, or put some extra washer on it (if there's room under the cover).

Edit: Actually, you may need to use a tiny tiny syringe or a toothpick to put the goop deep in the hole before putting the stud in, lest you goop up the threads you actually want to use.
