Default Riding the hills in Colorado

I am new to this forum as well as the motorized bike genre. I just moved into a very hilly part of the state, as well as a very cold and snowy part. I ride my bike everywhere and do everything on two wheels, but now that i dont have a vehicle, i need a kick for going up the 7%-10% hills. I am not motor savvy, but I am researching different engine types. I came here to ask what would be the best motor or preferably engine kit, that will handle my terrain? i would like a 4 stroke, easy to install/maintain, a bit of horsepower, and be able to go around 30-40 mph engine kit (must be able to carry huge loads). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Here are a few pics of my Bike i would like to convert. Want to place the engine in the middle (water-cages have been removed).
