corgi1, I thought that looked like a pretty smart idea. I don't think I'm a candidate for the manic mechanic part, cause I have an old schwinn hub. So That seamed like a good alternative that could smooth things out a bit. The part that still drives me crazy about the stock HT drive is that when the engine is disengaged the drive chain is so noisy and rough with vibrations. I think this is probably also due to the fact that I haven't tapered the stock drive gear teeth like many recommend. How smooth can one get a stock HT drive to perform?
