Welded is the best way, Heli, but several members have used clamps to hold the full span bracket in place. Another option, if you have the chain to frame clearance is to eliminate the tensioner. Some frames will require them and some, especially the ones with adjustable drop-outs will let you run without a tensioner. If you can get the chain to clear the frame and rear tire and still run true betwen the sprockets you should be good. Maintaining proper drive and pedal chain tension without an adjustable tensioner is the challenge. Good luck.
