You can buy a vbrake bracket, and a set of vbrakes, and a cable, and have vbrakes, or you can spend just a little more and get a heavy duty wheel with a drum brake:

I got one, it's about $95 shipped, and well worth it. Super easy to deal with, and better than vbrakes. You just have the bend the long brake arm so that it rests up against your fork so you can clamp it properly. Couple more bucks for a hose clamp, and tighten it up good.
