Default Cheap friction drive help

First off sorry for another thread but it is a new topic.

Now I am looking at a cheap friction drive setup. This one is for a close friend of mine. She already has a motorcycle etc and is not interested in speed or anything like that.

She is looking for a mountain bike for commuting and trail riding, and will buy a bicycle for about $150 at walmart. She has another $150 for a motor but does NOT want an in-frame kit because of the weight, many parts, and complication of removal. Basically something that is largely a bicycle but can provide assistance at 10mph or so if needed. The bike will be used for trail riding so it will need to keep the knobby tires.

Is there some sort of $150 or so friction drive motor? It would seem that the chain drives should cost more due to more materials used, more parts, etc. Is there a Chinese friction drive kit of any sort, akin to the HTs or at least something that costs about the same?

Motorcycles, Motor-bicycles and bicycles- two wheels and the open air is all I need.
