Somehow, it was taken wrongly by some and turned into a generic term for the Chinese in frame bicycle engine kits.....maybe because it was easier to say, or maybe it was just passed along without thought like most ignorance/bigotry.

And Jim, your explanation of the Chinese factories is interesting also. I've been wondering how there are so many brands of engines, yet all the replacement parts are pretty much interchangeable.
