Just an observation.

A while ago I mentioned that my local Ace Hardware was carrying HT engine kits. I asked one of the sales people this weekend if they were moving any and she told me they were selling them as quick as they could get them. I guess we will be seeing even more MB's in Tucson. Of course this could be a Christmas phenomena but it will be interesting to watch what happens with that.

r.ly.

i talked to an Opti-2 oil rep about where to get it, and he said Ace just hooked up a distributorship.

looks like they're gonna be more than just a place i go to get keys made...

Just as an FYI this is just this store carrying the kits, they aren't part of the nationwide chains inventory.

I have heard Ace will have a contract to sell the engine kits so check your local Ace Hardware in the year to come.

i bet there'll be all kinds of china doll stump-grinders, boat motors, and whatever the heck else these motors were supposed to work for once ace carries them...

Hey i could open up my own little repair shop in my garage if they do that :D im always looking to make some extra cash

.duh.

heck yeah, i wonder if they'll be hiring mechanics? i could go off with that employee discount...

I have a job application all filled out, ready for when I decide to take the plunge and give up my real job. There's an Ace just a few blocks from home and the manager wants me for part time work...Now, if I see an engine kit offered there that will be the push I need. I could ride my bike to work, park it in front of the store and be the resident bike pro. This is sounding good. Maybe I should stop in and put a bug in the guys ear.
FinFan, do you happen to know the store number of the Ace you see the kits in?
Tom

One thing, when this insider told me that Ace will be selling the kits, I forgot to ask if this was Nation wide or just here in Az?

Hey Fin Fan what is the price tag on them at Ace?

They're asking $159.99 for a kit. I haven't really checked out the kits so I can't tell you what variety of china girl it is. I guess I'll ask next time I'm there. They have a olive drab army style bike on display.

Here's the link to the store.

Ace Hardwares are independently owned and operated last I knew....it's up to the given store as to what they can and will sell.

I used to sell various types of R/C model airplanes from the one that was in Hambden Ohio.
