Default Re: Another Build from an abandon in the park bike

John the rings are easy to install into the barrel, just make sure that you line the ends up with the small pins in the piston ( that keeps the rings from rotating into the ports) I have never tried to install the rollers in a bushing engine, there is some threads out there that will explain if you can. On the bushing engine just keep the RPM's down. That barrel came from Kings out in Florida I got a bunch of stuff in a box for a deal. I like the fins too. I started carving on the Dax cylinder today I think this one will turn out good. I am going to force myself to leave one alone and just run it and see what it is like. I only have one engine that went south, it threw all the big end rollers into the ports, that was the end. Well I actually made a bushing for that engine and got it going again, but the bushing did not last long. Fixed the ports and ran the piston with one ring, worked fine till the bushing got too loose. Have fun, Dave
Its just a job. (Link) My shop is in the lower R/H corner.
