Yeah! Keep the progress pictures coming. It already looks good. And let us know how your hub adapter works out. That's what I call a simple design.
What is the frame? Any pix?

Hi, been thinking of doing a build on a wc chopper myself but have heard alot of horror stories of how difficult it can be. Like the hub needing adaptor and or something like problems having rear sprocket line up with engine and needing spacers or something like that. Someone is selling one nearby in mint condition for only $135, wondering if I should get it or not. Also wondering where you got that adaptor or did you fab it yourself? If so and if I decide to get this bike could you help and tell me how and what you used to make it? Wondering too about the gas tank, will it hold fuel without any major mods? Plz let me know and thx, looking forward to seeing some more pics.

yes it is true not a easy build .and this is my first motor bike build and i pick one of the hardest ones to build but i am a fabricator for 20yrs so i think im up to the task.and my hub adapter is my design made from 11ga hrpo sheet metal after i test it out i have 3 more sets i will sell if anyone wants them.i also will have a custom brake arm for the coaster brake wheels in a few days i will post pics of that as well.so its up to u if u want to tackle this build or not but it is cool looking bike to build thats why im doing one.i will post every thing i do + pics to mine if u want to follow and if you have ideas post them i allways look at others ideas. Anyway good luCk if you decide to build onE.

Lookin forward to progress pics, Im building one myself for my first build. Ive been a hot rodder / air cooled vw guy for 16 years, along with building /fabricating high end cutstom wheel chairs for the last 13yrs. I hope our back grounds help wity what were doing. If ya decide to sell your hub adaptors drop me a line Id be interested if I havent already found a solution when you do.

How tight is the clearance for the chain to rear tire? I'm working on the same bike and the only problem I have is getting the sprocket on. How are you mounting the engine? This is how I'm starting the mount. I'm gonna drill through the pedal mount and use rubber/poly bushings for the mount, as well as find a better way to hold the pipe on the seat tube. The tire was a test fit with the new sprocket bolted to the old one, which I later found out wouldn't work because of the tire's left/right orientation.

this bike is one of the hardest ones to build.and that was my first challenge was the rear sprocket thats why i made my own adapter.the motor has to offset 1/2 to 1" i made my mounts adjustable.when you do this everything has to be moded.peddle cranks have to be wider pipe has to be bent to fit .on and on and on. I am still mounting the motor try to post pics this weekend .good luck on your build i will watch yours come together also.
