Hey well after finishing my motorbike build ive been yearning for a better clutch to handle stoplights. I have decided on using a centrifugal clutch but have a few worrys and questions. I found a kit on piratecycles but so sure on it, wether it needs a pullstart or not? And are there any other alternitives out there? (ive heard of using gokart clutch but dont know what side and look to be set up for a CVT drive or jackshaft type device.)

No pullstart needed for the HT centrifugal clutch. No HT pullstart is worth the money, they all fail, even the wire pull model that lasted only 3 pulls on its first ride.

Be aware that the HT centrifugal clutch does not have a slot cut into it's hub for the woodruff key. The only thing preventing it from slipping on the shaft is friction.
Folks have had issues with the clutch slipping on the shaft while climbing a hill or during hard acceleration. Others have had no problems what-so-ever.
It all depends on just how well the shaft and clutch fit to each other.
Since quality control with these China engines is a random phenomena that few folks actually believe really exists, the fitment is purely coincidental.
Some folks carefully, veeeery carefully grind a notch into the hub to allow a homemade key to work. It takes a Dremel tool and a few diamond cutting bits to accomplish.
silverbear has done it and has pictures of it in one of his threads.
I looked for it but could not find it within the time frame I have.
Here are a couple of threads on the centrifugal clutch:

My first pull start didn't last long but the second one is doing just fine. I am careful not do pull too hard though. So far my centrifugal clutch works fine also. My knees don't allow me to pedal, they don't bend far enough, so the clutch allows me to start off from a dead stop. I take it easy at start up, no hole shots.

No pull-start needed with the Centrifugal clutch kit since it has a built in sprag.
I am 100% satisfied with the performance of the centrifugal clutch, so much so that all my future builds will have one installed.
It also allows you to start off from a dead stop.
