The plug wire just screws on, you just turn it counter clock wise to unscrew and clock wise to re-install. When you get it out you will see there is just a screw in there and that's what the wire screws to. Some are glued as well and take a little work to get out. At least all the CDI's I have dealt with are like that, don't know if anything has changed on newer kits.
