  • Thanks! I'm in Richmond, so my commute is a rolling 15 miles up the Kennebec, pretty sweet for a morning ride.
Bike slowly cmmn together. Got the engine from DAX day before yest. Lotsa prep work with detailing n such. Frame and wheels needed a good cleaning and gease. Prepped fenders yesterday will begin reassembly this afternoon. I'll be riding on it before the weekend is out. I've been riding my son's Nichiki for the past couple weeks to and fro work-that's a nice bike. We still got some good weather left we'll catch up soon. Be Safe!
Sorry for the slow reply a.graham52, I just noticed this message notification. I've got 2 motorized bikes, my primary one is a GT2A-S with a HS142F 4 stroke, build thread: http://motorbicycling.com/showthread.php?t=55057
I built that for commuting on. The second is a an old beater of a cruiser with a 49cc HT 2 stroke that I bought used and fully expect to explode every time I take it out. Rebuilt the top end on it last year and it seems to run ok but I never ride it when I need to be somewhere, just for puttering and tinkering.
A new season is upon us. Hows your riding? Hows your bike holding up? I had surgery in Jan (torn rotator cuff in shoulder) healing excellent. Could ride now daily but my ride starts before sunrise and potholes seem to be developing everywhere overnight. April showers bring May flowers or so they say- I am looking for somthing to build soon. Catch ya later HEY post some pics. You gotta have a little candy here.
Just a matter of time. If you never buy another kit what you have now will evolve to exactly what you see in your minds eye. Every single one is unique and special. That my friend is the joy in it. Post some pics and be proud of it!
Hello a.graham. Welcome to the forum. Looks like we'll be putting our bikes up soon. I did a 40 mile trip yesterday to my buddies place in Orono, went to Pat's had a pizza, cruised a while on Forest ave. then came home. God I love this thing!
Anything I may be able to help you with just let me know. We stay in touch. Good luck and above all be safe.
