In answer to your question over there...What is the best way to take handle grips off handlebars. Other than cutting.
I would use an air compressor and a blow gun. You jam the other end of the handle bar onto a soft non-porus surface to block air from coming out that end. Then insert the blow gun into the other hand grip. You can install new grips with no glue or lube this way. You crack the air gun valve open slowly and jam the grip on or remove it.
