Wow, it's been so long ago that I did that I had to think of what you were talking about, I just went to the auto store and bought a 90 that had almost the same thread pattern, it would almost thread in, so I put some JB weld on the threads and screwed it in, I have not had any problem with it as far as leaking goes, I have not ran a filter, I know you should but I do not, I guess that you could put an inline filter on if you wanted, I was able to go about 1000 miles this summer on the mb and had a blast, looking forward to next spring so I can start a "new" project.
