    re: absorb vibration. I think something that alleviates chain tension a little would do it. I'd call Duane at www.thatsdax.com He sells 4 stroke mounting plates and engines and is on this forum too. A spring-loaded chain tensioner or nylon dirt-bike type tensioner/guide should alleviate a lot of vibration. If you can make the chain run in segments where it can't flop, and doesn't have to be extra tight, it will cut vibration a lot. Have you checked your wheel bearings and wheels (true and round?)? What tires are you using?
    Welcome to the forum! I lived in Port Charlotte about 20 years ago, and after building my bike, I wish I was still there. It is hilly up here in NE Georgia and hard to find good places to ride. Be careful on the roads down there though. Lots of old people and narrow roads.
