Wink Straight chain

has anyone ever just bypassed the chain tensioner and just removed enough links to fit the sprockets. if so please give me some advice because the tensioner i have is cheap and just pure crap. Do you guys recommend i just run straight chain or not??????

If you can get the right amount of slack on the chain without the tensioner go for it. ThatsDax has a bearing tensioner that is much better...oopps look's like he's out of stock on those

You want between 1/2--3/4 inch slack...sorry forgot to mention

I have set my bike up for the tension on the motor chain and I use the crappy tensioner on the pedal chain since getting them both right at the same time is pretty hard for me.
