| | Re: Just bought 4 stroke Chinese frame mount kit I have a spare 3 hole sprocket plate that I'd be happy to send you. PM me with your address if you are still looking for one. I can also photocopy the instructions that came with mine. They aren't the best instructions, but they cover the basics.
Hint: If you contact the folks at bicycle-engines.com, and let them know you ordered the kit from Revolutions and are having issues, they may help you out. They supply Revolutions with some if not all his kits.
Believe it or not, it's is all worth the effort |

The mount for the wheel should be the same as the 2-stroke type, one thing I noticed this in your original post:
. Next, I find the sprocket kit only has 2 half moon clips when there should be 3. And one of the round rubber spacers had 2 big chunks gone out of it.
There are two diffrent types of plates for mounting the sprocket, one set is a 2-piece that is two half circles, and the other is a 3-piece in thirds. I have recieved kits with either of these types or both. When I can I use both layers pf plates layered so that there are no seams to the rubber and everything tightens down more evenly. For the rubber spacers, do you have the solid black rubber or are they cut out of old tires? The solid rubber is junk and crumbles over a short period of time, the tire ones are much more durable and I have never had a problem with them...Kelly | The rubber is the rag type rubber. Didn't know they even made a cheapy version of these things. I was told that the chunks cut out of one of them won't affect the setup when tightened down. I'll assume that with the metal half moon plates, one kit out floating around has 3 short ones and another kit has 2 longer ones instead of one kit having 5 total plates. I've been told 2 different stories on this matter. It does make sense that after you put the 3 plates, then you put the 2 longer ones over the seams in the 3 shorter ones for added rigidity. But who knows? |

Some of the better known dealers don't even answer emails, so it's easy to get stuck fast. |
