there has got to be a cheap tool store in your area get a hammer ball peen and a plastic hammer or a dead blow plastic one a lead hammer comes in handy too. I can take the clutch and shaft out and round trip it in under 30 minutes not a big deal don't let it intimidate you.

You sound like a handy guy Norm but please explain things for me. From what I've read, you remove the rubber on the insides of the bearings. You then grease the unit form the little hole you create by removing the clutch cable holder until grease comes out of the bearings. Is this accurate?

you got it but only on shielded bearing not the sealed. the shielded will be metal sided where the sealed will be rubber sided.
You could remove the shield on only one side and then hand pack the bearing and not fill the center housing with grease. Some want it packed and some don't. This could get nasty real quick. He.he.
