rings

hey Norm, I was just reading your top end rebuild thread and i was wondering if you could explain (for an idiot) how to remove and replace the piston rings . I have broken a couple trying and im not sure how they are supposed to be positioned and how to slide the jug on.

funny. I'm waiting on a new set of rings now.Inside the groves where the rings go, there is a little tit. alighn the opening on the ring with that tit. its funny how easy it slides in the jug. also, someone told me that not all rings are interchangable. Order your rings from whomever you purchased the motor. hope this helps.
