That Morini is that the 3 or the 5.8 hp. I have always thought that just another 1 hp would really make the HT have a better power range. I weigh 185 and is seems as though the engine is maxed out on grades that are more than a block or two. The 3hp version is probably going to be near perfect for the hilly sections of your ride. I am really interested in hearing your stories on the completion of your new engine and all it can handle.

That is the 5.8 HP motor in my picts. I am going to a motorcycle savage yard tomorrow to find a good pivot. Might have to bring a hack saw with me. I have never gone to the salvage before. No telling how distracted I will get . No telling how much crap I will bring home LOL!

Stay Focus Goat Herder! A salvage yard can be a dangerous place to find hundreds of gems. Chances are: You're coming home with more than a swing arm! LOL

That was Dean at pipeline where I got it. I can only imagine how many phone calls the guy gets in one day from this forum let alone regular business LOL He is very cool to talk to . I pmed you my price it was hella cheaper than the Morini kick butt engine site , but I bought the rear wheal adapters , and pipe from him as well! I really tried to pick a very busy mans brain at the time all I can say is the guys remarkably patient. I am happy to answer what I know. Easyrider has the most experience! Thanx Easy very much for answer my questions!

I went to a salvage yard and could not find what I wanted. There were lots of great stuff there. Just did not quite look like it went with my currant design at hand. I might be able to borrow a lathe , and mill if I am lucky. Still thinking outside the box on the pivot. Getting closer though. Here is a rough view off the rear end against the bike. I barely got it to sit still where I stood this up it just gives the Idea of this rear piece.

I'm not sure you can mesh an in frame kit with a rear suspension bike. Won't the changing position of the rear hub vs. the motor cause problems? I did see a bike somewhere where the owner used a banana seat that was hinged in the front and mounted on shocks in the rear. Seemed like a good solution to the problem!

Look at the pict with the Morini hanging in the frame. The seat post will never ever get cut out of this bike. The back half will be removed except perhaps part of the cantilever curve. May be gusseting that sect to support the shock. As for the infamous pivot point that is built further forward off of the new rear end. Putting it inches from the output sprocket of the engine. It is by no means going to be a in frame shock design any at all. I taking advantage of this rear end for its tire size 26.2.7. My intentions are to take what I got and make it work. The parts that I have bought etc Is the end of the line this is what I will be making work! I am surly a poor man at this point.

One of my friends made a suspension seat as you mentioned on a Orange County Chopper. It came out nice on the chopper. Thats is not my vision for this creation though.
