I use RTV around the cover and the rubber seal for the wire's.
Have you checked for spark? Try to dry it out...I got mine wet one time and sprayed with WD-40. Dried it out and it fired right up. |

| | Re: Water damage...? You could pull the cover off and put a light bulb right underneath it. That would evaporate any moisture. Or like fair said WD-40 will do the trick too. Those are both old tricks from back in the old distributor days..........................

I use a Spark plug tester...Pull your plug out so the motor will crank easier
It can be picked up at any local auto parts store. Or you can make one using a spark plug and aligator clips. Just solder the aligator clip to the plug.
You could also make one like Norman's.... Tester for ignition |

| | Re: Water damage...? I would suspect your kill switch or external connections first.....good tips from the other fellas....
Lemme tell you, I try not to get rain in my knickers but other than that my engine gets pretty wet without issues....if I let rain completely keep me from riding, I would go whack. |

| | Re: Water damage...? Well dry it out, the kill switch could be wet and shorting as well. Always test spark with a known good plug...or Norman's unit.... |
