Water damage...?

Discussion at Motorized Bicycle Engine Kit Forum in the Motorized Bicycle Trouble Shooting forum. Just need to check for continuity and make sure none of the lines are grounded. An ohmmeter is your friend....

Got a question about that....I tested three of my mags. Two show 0.00 when I touch the flywheel and the mag coil, the other measures 0.04. I checked because I though the one coil was touching the rotor, but one I KNOW has a gap, and it's the other one that reads 0.00

Do you have mag/coil/readings somewhere?

In a thread somewhere...here post #9.. Loss of high RPM spark?

I am not understanding what wires you are talking about.

i borrowed my neighbors meter.

inside magneto
[1] i touched the blue and the white wire and got 1.5
[2] i touched the blue and the black and got 1.5
[3] (with the kill switch ground disconnected) i touched the white and black and got 2.2

then,
[4] i touched inside the plug cap and the black and got 7.3
[5] i touched inside the plug cap and the white and got 7.3
[6] i touched inside the plug cap and the blue and got 1.5

then with spark plug in cap but laying on top of cylinder head, i rolled the bicycle forward and there was no spark.

no spark...

?

If you tested for spark with the head off you had on ground the plug grounds through the head to the block.,the other cause could be your coil, ive seen it before.

with the spark plug in its cap, I layed it on the top of the engine (thus completing the loop), then i rolled the bike and saw no spark

if its the coil, how am I getting a charge on the blue/white, blue/black, and white/black combinations?

[2] i touched the blue and the black and got 1.5 NG it should be 350 ohms
[3] (with the kill switch ground disconnected) i touched the white and black and got 2.2 sounds right

then,
[4] i touched inside the plug cap and the black and got 7.3sb about 2K okms
[5] i touched inside the plug cap and the white and got 7.3????
[6] i touched inside the plug cap and the blue and got 1.5 sb a very high resistance in one direction, essentially open in the other (diode)

then with spark plug in cap but laying on top of cylinder head, i rolled the bicycle forward and there was no spark.

no spark...

?
See above....have you tried taking the coil pack out and drying it/WD -40/compressed air?
