Default Clutch adjustment - slips when hot

Howdy all,

I have been adjusting my clutch, but am still having some trouble. On a cold engine the adjustment is fine, but as it heats up, the clutch slips (not so much when it is underload, rather it slips when trying to restart). If I tighten the clutch more, it doesn't fully disengage when cold. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
J

thats odd i have always had the opposite problem with my clutch slips when cold, wont disengage when hot... found out my clutch pads had glazed over and some brake cleaner solved it. Now works properly. Other than spraying down the clutch pads w/ brake cleaner, dont know what else you could do, I have never heard of it happening the way you describe. Let me know how it goes -Justin

External adjustment of the primary clutch spring
Also, clean the pads with some brake cleaner.
