Question Clutch adjustment issue

I've been trying to adjust my clutch,so that it will not slip, and release when the lever is fully pulled in. I cannot seem to find the right "sweet spot" for the clutch to grab without slipping and then fully release. I've disconnected the cable at the clutch arm and then adjusted the star nut to apply pressure to the clutch plate and when I get that right, I cannot seem to get enough lever/cable travel to fully release without dragging. What is the proper procedure for setting this up??

Default Re: Clutch adjustment issue

Jim at Creative Engineering is the clutch Guru here....maybe he can respond.

There is a way he posted about to tighten up the pre-load on the clutch spring....I think that will help you.
