Default 2-stroke How many miles to rebuild?

If i go with a chain saw motor, how often would i have to rebuild it if i commute 30miles Round trip 2-3 days a week?

I will venture a guess of a couple of years...better yet, figure out approx. how many hours that would be and figure a good 200-500 hours before you need rings.

About a year. 312 hours of riding @ approx. 20 mph.

Thanks, the guy at the scooter store said that a Tanaka motor would probably need to be rebuilt about every 2 weeks. I said HUH! might as well just drive then. Im thinking he was thinking about running it super hard.

No way! I had a 29 year old Tanaka that I ran WOT most of the time and it never missed a beat. Super smmooooth too.
