Default is there a way to mount the motor without drilling

I got my motor and found that i will have to drill into the frame to mount it. is there an easier way. I tried drilling but all i seem to have done is scratch the paint. Do i have to worry about rust now? I read somewheres that steel doesn't rust.

Don't drill it! There are too many ways to mount them without drilling.

Steel rusts, aluminum corrodes, touch up the paint where you scratched it.

Indeed - do not drill your frame. BGJ posted one easy way to avoid drilling. There are other ideas as well.

Oh, steel rusts. Some alloys worse than others. Just clean it up and paint it.
