Default Where to buy spokes

Recently my rear hub cracked on the bearing surface. So I am going to replacing it with a sealed bearing quando hub. Then I can just replace the sealed bearings. The rim is still good. I cannot seem to find that much information on strong durable spokes.

I want to get black spokes for a 26" wheel that are durable. Any suggestions? Price?

a bike shop should be able to sell you spokes as a set, IE enough for the whole rim, any guage they stock or can order. They run anywhere between $35 and up. For thick DT Swiss stainless spokes expect to pay at least $50 a set with nipples on them.

Would you buy a set that didnt come with the nipples? IDTS.

You may want to look around for a deal on a complete wheel. Even a whole craigslist bike. Buying wheel parts separately may cost more then buying a wheel. I saw a giant on craigs a couple days ago in Portland OR. for $30. They were moving and it had a broken front brake. Just a few extra idea's.
