Hi.

What is the spec for bottom gasket material and thickness. I want to use quality stuff, and don't want to experiment with a cereal box.

I dont see the bottom gaskets listed at thatsdax.com. Does anyone else have it?

Does anyone else stock the clutch rod and ball-bearing that always falls-out in a greasy blob when the clutch plate is removed? Duane from ThatsDax says that there are 2 versions(lengths) for the clutch rod.

It would be great if I could get these directly from Duane, but he doesn't have them in stock.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

VaporKing

I sealed mine with rtv
an added bonus is it gives slightly higher compression as well

I thought that RTV doesn't hold-up in the long run, since these 2 strokers run so hot.

Also, RTV doesn't provide a specific width, affecting compression.--- Too thin= possible head slapping, but better compression if within tolerance? I've read here that some people have even run without gaskets, but i would rather not try it.

Anyone know the spec?

I think they are all just a little different. I have no base gasket on mine. We used an anerobic sealant. Then just used a thick enough head gasket to keep the piston from hitting the head............................
