Default Shorten chain

How do I shorten the 415 chain? I know I can use the chain tension thingy, which I'll also use but I still need to shorten the chain. Do I need to go buy one of those chain link tools in the bicycle section at walmart that forces the pin out as you screw it in?

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

It's called a "Chain Breaker". The ones Wal-Mart sells may not be strong enough for a 415 chain. I ended up going to a motorcycle shop to get a heavy duty one. Some people use punches and even nails to get rid of links. The proper tool is the easiest way though.
