Oops-to Much Oil
Hello guys. I just got my first gallon of gas ran through my bike. I went back to the users manual to check what the normal amount of oil I should use for normal operation. As you know it is 30-35 to 1. So I checked an online calculator and it said 4 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. Well the thing is I was supposed to run 20 to 1 for the first gallon. But me being me I did not check the calculator for the first gallon. I was running it 8 to 1. Wow I know this was a lot of oil. Will it hurt my engine at all? To much is better than not enough right? Thanks.

Re: Oops-to Much Oil
I would just go with the normal mix at this point. if everything seems fine at this point then you've done no damage me thinks

Re: Oops-to Much Oil
Just carry on. Use a good oil and go to 30:1 or so.
If it ran - don't worry.
Was there much smoke? How does the plug look?
