Magneto output.

Somebody had posted a question about the using the magneto for charging a 6V battery. It has me wondering about this idea and I was wondering if anybody has ever put an oscilloscope on the output to see what type of waveform the magneto puts out. This info would be relevant to building a rectifier to convert the output to 6Vdc. Enquiring minds want to know!

Just tore mine apart and just by looking at it it appears to be just a simple 1 phase generator. Should put out an ordinary AC sine wave.

That's what happens when you spend to many days outside when it's -40F.
