LiveFastMotors deal on eBay - Generator/Lights

Guys, I bought the $14.99 upgrade kit on eBay from them which sounds to me like a deal...40t, new chain, hub rags and hardware...not bad, but I now see they have another deal with also includes speedometor and generator and front and rear lights.

I thought the generators burn out, or make too much power or something so that they cannot be used on motored bikes. What's up with this - anyone know?
