Default How tight should the clutch actuator be?

When the clutch lever is let out (at the handlebar), how or where should the clutch actuator arm be exactly? I'm afraid I have too much tension on mine ie. the clutch actuator isn't fully released.
Should the actuator arm be right at the edge of its "free play"? I hope I'm making myself clear here.

You should have just a bit of freeplay.

The cable can still be snug but not tight. I know that's sounds arbitrary but what we mean is that the cable can be snug enough to not have much if any slack but not so tight as to begian applying pressure to the clutch. I hope that makes sense. I like to have mine just tight enough to keep the cable from sagging between the clutch actuator arm and where it exits the cable housing at the engine standoff. I hope this answers your question.

It does. I do have mine too tight right now then.
Thanks!

I adjust mine so the rear wheel spins very slowly when you lift it off the ground with engine running. This method has never let me down.
