Default Gas tank dimensions?

Could someone please give me the dimensions of the standard gas tank that comes with the 2-stroke kits? My kit isn't here yet and I want to see if I can get it to fit inside the fake tank that's on my bike. I need length, width and height.
Thanks, Tom

From lip to lip about 1 foot, from fuel cap to mounting stud about 7". From lip to lip at the widest point is about 7". Just going by memory.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was going to stuff the tank inside the false tank now on the bike. It will be too wide to do that. After further review, I have decided that I can make the false tank useable. I will solder the halves together and install a filler and petcock.
Thanks, Tom
